Los príncipes están celosamente resguardados,
Los candados cerrados, los anillos en su lugar.
Las personas ruidosas cayeron en el silencio,
Las puertas (alguna vez) abiertas están cerradas.

Los dioses de la tierra, las diosas de la tierra,
Šamaš, Sîn, Adad and Ištar
Se han marchado al regazo del Cielo.
No emitirán más juicios, no decidirán ningún caso.

La noche está velada.
El palacio, su capilla, (y) santuario están oscuros.

El caminante llama a los dioses, el suplicante sigue durmiendo,
